Our Philosophy

The philosophy of winemaking at Brookside Winery is based on the heritage and style passed down by owner Tim Bacino’s French ancestors.

In the early days, more than a century ago, Tim’s uncles were considered pioneers as well as teachers of the art of making French wine in the U.S. Today, the enormous amounts of specific varietals available and advancements in technology, sterilization, fermentation, etc., allow more incredible-tasting wine and blends to be produced.

 

To produce great wines, you need great fruit. The Brookside team annually visits many boutique California vineyards to taste and analyze their fruit, selecting only the best quality—with superb characteristics and perfect ripeness—to use for our wines.
