Our family's wines have been cherished and enjoyed for generations, gracing the tables of weddings, holiday celebrations, and everyday meals. We recognize the profound role our wines have played in your lives, and we don't take that trust for granted.
In response to your requests and as a tribute to our rich history, we've carefully reformulated and relaunched some of our beloved classics. Take, for example, our Noir de Noir, a wine with a story dating back to the 1800s. Its return is a homage to the enduring bond between GEN 7 Wines and its loyal supporters.
A Commitment to Quality
With nearly two centuries of winemaking experience, our commitment to quality remains unwavering. Each year, I personally visit boutique California vineyards, meticulously tasting and analyzing their fruit. Only the finest, with exceptional characteristics and perfect ripeness, find their way into our wines.
Our winemaking process is a labor of love. We age our wines in the finest French oak barrels for a minimum of 9 to 21 months, allowing them to develop complexity, depth, and elegance. This dedication to crafting exceptional wines has been our hallmark since the very beginning.
The Vineyard AVA Regions
GEN 7 Wines sources its grapes from some of the most renowned vineyard AVA (American Viticultural Area) regions in California. These regions include:
Napa Valley: Renowned for its Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley offers a diverse terroir that contributes to our exceptional wines.
St. Helena: This sub-region within Napa Valley provides grapes with unique characteristics, adding depth and complexity to our wines.
Russian River: Known for its cool climate, Russian River is perfect for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, which we use to craft some of our finest offerings.
Knight's Valley: Nestled in Sonoma County, Knight's Valley provides the grapes for our rich and robust varieties.
Sonoma Coast: The coastal influence here results in wines with bright acidity and a distinct sense of place.
Monterey: From this region, we source grapes for our vibrant and flavorful wines.
Lodi: Known for its old-vine Zinfandel, Lodi contributes to our collection with bold and expressive wines.
Santa Maria: This region's cool climate gives our wines a refreshing and crisp profile.
Santa Barbara: The diverse terroir of Santa Barbara County provides us with grapes for our elegant and balanced wines.
